About Kai Luna Creations Epoxy Resin Ocean Cheese Board Classes

Our ocean art and epoxy resin classes are appropriate for all ages 10+ and all skill levels are welcome! We keep class sizes small to give close, individualized instruction and attention for everyone. No prior experience is needed. We guide you every step of the way to creating a beautiful, unique piece of art.

Not suitable for children under 10 years. Not suitable for pregnant women.

We supply aprons and gloves, but please wear old clothes or clothes you don't mind getting paint on, just in case! We also recommend tying back long hair and bringing glasses if you require them for up-close, detailed work.

Boards are cured & ready for pick up 24 hours after the class. You can schedule a pick-up day/time with the instructor after your class OR we offer delivery & shipping services for an additional cost.

Classes last approximately 1.5 to 2 hours depending on the size of the class.

Please arrive 15 minutes early to the class for check-in, board selection, etc.

Class group sizes are limited to a maximum of 9 people in order to give the best individual instruction and attention as possible. Private group classes can be requested for groups 5-10 people.

Each class is structured with generally only enough time for everyone to make one piece each (or a set of smaller pieces depending on the class you book). Some classes have an add-on option for additional pieces to a set (coasters or ornaments, for example). See each specific class for details on the add-ons available.

We do offer pre-made ocean art resin boards for purchase at the workshop, subject to availability.

We use only non-toxic epoxy that is completely safe when used as directed. NO volatile organic compounds (VOCs) are emitted. NO fumes. NO solvents. Non-flammable. Non-hazardous. Our materials and workshop conform to ASTM D4236, standard practice for safe labeling of art supplies.

YES! Once cured, your resin art board is 100% food safe to be used for cheese, charcuterie, etc.

We recommend hand-wash only and to use mineral oil for long-lasting care. Detailed instructions for the care of your board will be provided at the workshop.

For our main charcuterie board class, we do offer other specialty board shapes (such as surfboards, turtles, pineapples, and trays) that you can upgrade to for an additional cost, subject to availability.

We also offer a variety of classes for other pieces such as ornaments, trinket trays, and coasters.

Nope! All workshop materials, tools, and safety equipment are provided. If you would like to bring something special to add to your creation, such as shells or special trinkets you want to include, feel free to bring them to further personalize your epoxy art piece. We do have shells and other items that are included in the class price.

Yes! Feel free to bring your own beverages, including alcoholic beverages, if desired. We will provide non-alcoholic, island refreshers, infused water snacks, and fresh fruit.

We are located in Pa’ia on the island of Maui. Once your class is booked, you will receive a confirmation email with the exact address, parking instructions, and waiver.

Classes are 100% refundable if canceled within 72 hours of the booked class’s start time.
